The London Blue Topaz Ring Size 5.25 Buttonhole Argentium Silver showcases a deep ocean-blue gemstone held within my sculptural Buttonhole band — one of my most distinctive and best-loved designs.
Design & feel
I craft the Buttonhole design in Argentium 940 silver, shaping the band so it loops around itself, forming a subtle “buttonhole” opening that balances strength with elegance. The open curve supports the gemstone and keeps the profile airy yet bold. Each edge is hammer-finished for texture and polished for brightness.
About the stone
This oval London Blue Topaz (2 carat) features rich, cool tones with excellent clarity. The bezel setting holds the gemstone securely and highlights its natural depth of colour, creating a refined and contemporary look.

Each Buttonhole ring starts as a strip of Argentium sheet, cut and shaped to form a looped band that overlaps and reconnects on itself — like a book clasp or knot. Once formed and soldered, I polish the band, heat-harden the metal, and fit the gemstone with a hand-formed bezel that follows the curve of the design. It’s a strong, elegant setting that blends structure with motion.
