These are 41.10 carat oval Amethyst with a checkerboard cut. They are IF quality (internally flawless) and were mined in Brazil.

I melted Argentium silver into granules and then organized the granules into a linear pattern and then fused them together.

The earrings are 5.8 cm long by 1.4 cm wide.  They weigh 12.3 grams.

Argentium Silver is a high quality silver with a silver content of 935.  It has the unique feature of having a small amount of Germanium added.  Argentium Silver is whiter, harder and slower to tarnish.  And it is always nickel-free.

I hand make all the earwires and posts with Argentium Silver, so all my earrings are nickel-free.
