Black Line Agate Necklace – Argentium Silver Twig Collar
Description
This Black Line Agate Twig Collar is created entirely from solid Argentium silver. I hand-form each twig and fuse them together to build the collar base. The chain is woven from handmade jump rings, with smaller twig panels added along its length for detail and movement.
Design & Feel
The large cabochon-cut Black Line Agate rests in a bezel setting, nestled into a bed of silver twigs. The dark banding in the stone contrasts with the bright silver, drawing attention to both texture and pattern. The adjustable chain allows for a close collar fit or a slightly longer neckline.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the finished necklace to activate the germanium oxide layer unique to Argentium 940. This treatment strengthens the metal, enhances its brightness, and slows tarnish. Afterward, I polish the raised areas to a clean shine while keeping the natural twig texture visible.
