Charoite Pendant – Argentium Silver Bark and Twigs
Description
This Charoite Pendant combines a rare gemstone with natural silver textures. The Charoite is mined only in the Ural Mountains of Russia. It has a rich violet tone and soft swirling patterns. I fused Argentium silver twigs together, then added a layer of silver bark on top for contrast. The combination gives the pendant a balanced and organic look.
Design & Feel
The twigs create gentle movement, while the bark adds strength and form. The cushion-cut gemstone sits low and secure within the design. Light reflects softly across both silver and stone, showing fine detail. A simple tube bail finishes the piece and allows the pendant to move smoothly on the chain.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver to activate the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium 940. This process helps prevent tarnish and keeps the metal bright. After cooling, I polish the bark texture to a soft shine and leave the twig details slightly matte. The finish highlights the layered surface and adds quiet depth.
