Aquamarine Pendant – Argentium Silver Teardrop Half Moon
Description
This Aquamarine Pendant features a teardrop cabochon gemstone resting above a Lunar half-moon design. I create the moon’s surface by melting Argentium silver and guiding it with a jeweller’s pick while the metal is still fluid. The texture that forms reflects the quiet craters and ripples of the moon. The smooth Aquamarine sits above, bright and clear, like light reflected on water.
Design & Feel
The teardrop shape and crescent moon balance one another in form and tone. The Aquamarine’s pale blue glow adds calmness, while the Lunar texture below brings depth and contrast. Together they create a pendant that feels both light and strong, evoking stillness and quiet movement.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the pendant to form the germanium oxide layer that defines Argentium 940. This process strengthens the silver and slows tarnish. Afterward, I polish the raised areas to enhance shine while keeping the Lunar texture soft and natural.
