Description
This Aquamarine Pendant features a large 33.5-carat teardrop cabochon set in the Rapids design. The smooth, polished gemstone highlights the soft blue of Aquamarine, while the silver setting captures the motion of fast-moving water. I melt and fuse small pieces of Argentium silver until the surface flows and ripples like river currents. The contrast between the calm stone and the textured silver makes this pendant both striking and balanced.
Design & Feel
The Rapids design celebrates movement and light. Each curve in the silver mimics the path of water over rock. The Aquamarine’s soft tone cools the design, while the high relief of the metal adds energy and depth. Every pendant forms differently, giving each one its own rhythm and character.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver to create the protective germanium oxide layer that defines Argentium 940. This step strengthens the surface and resists tarnish. The silver stays bright, while the natural textures deepen with time. A light wipe with a soft cloth is enough for care.
