Amethyst Pendant – Argentium Silver Pebbles – 23.5 Carats
Description
This Amethyst Pendant holds a 23.5-carat faceted cabochon in the Pebbles design. I shape and fuse small circles of Argentium silver to form the pendant base. Each circle melts slightly around the edges, creating an organic surface that feels both natural and strong. I then add an outer wire frame in a soft triangular form to give the piece structure and flow.
Design & Feel
The Pebbles design reflects the strength and calm of natural stone. The Amethyst’s deep violet colour sits above the silver, catching light across every facet. The irregular triangular frame adds balance while keeping the pendant’s texture bold and alive. Each pendant forms differently as the silver flows, so no two are ever alike.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver to activate the germanium oxide layer that defines Argentium 940. This step strengthens the surface and slows tarnish. After polishing, the raised silver circles shine brightly while the spaces between stay softly matte, adding depth and contrast.
