Quartz Earrings – Argentium Silver Sun and Moon
These Quartz Earrings – Argentium Silver Sun and Moon feature a hollow silver sun circling a raw quartz gemstone. I form the open sun first in solid Argentium silver. Then I suspend the quartz in a casual prong setting so light can move through the stone.
Above the sun and quartz sits a solid silver moon. The hollow circle represents the sun. Meanwhile, the solid circle forms the moon. As a result, the design balances openness and grounding. The raw quartz adds organic texture within the clean circular frame. Handmade, nickel-free Argentium silver earwires complete the structure.
The contrast between polished silver and raw stone creates depth. However, the overall silhouette remains refined and architectural.

I form the hollow sun first. Then I set the raw quartz in prongs. Finally, I solder the solid moon and assemble the layered components before polishing.
