A very beautiful and large, 21.5 carat, oval Pink Topaz.
Argentium silver twigs arranged in a casual rectangle shape. First, I cut bits of silver wire and lay them out in a rough design – which I then fuse together. I add more bits of silver ‘twigs’ to balance the design and fuse again. I clean it all up and determine where the bezel will sit. Then I solder on the top bail.
This Pink Topaz is set in the twig pendant with a bezel mounting. I carefully measure the bezel for each Gemstone. First I solder the walls of the bezel in a circle. Which is then shaped to fit the Topaz. Then I attach the wall to the base, and solder again. More cleaning and polishing and the bezel is ready to solder into the Twig design. Then I can set the gemstone into the bezel, creating this very unique pink topaz surrounded by twigs pendant.
Pendant is 3.6 cm long by 2.4 cm wide.
The weight is 32.5 grams.
