Freeform Circle Pendant – Argentium Silver and Copper – Small
Description
This Freeform Circle Pendant brings together solid copper and Argentium silver in a layered, fused-metal design. I shape and form each wire into small, irregular circles, then melt the Argentium silver across the surface to link the metals permanently. The result is a pendant with warmth, movement, and soft contrast.
Design & Feel
The silver flows over the copper in natural patterns, creating smooth transitions between bright and warm tones. Each pendant forms slightly differently during fusing, so no two are ever the same. The freeform shape gives the piece a simple but lively presence, perfect for daily wear.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Once fused, I heat-treat the silver to activate the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium 940. This process also helps slow tarnish and keeps the silver bright. After cooling, I polish the surface lightly to enhance the shine and highlight the colour contrast.
Size & Weight
• Length: 5.4 cm (2.13 in)
• Width: 2.8 cm (1.10 in)
• Weight: 10.0 grams
• Chain: 20″ Copper bead chain
Materials & Care
Made from Argentium 940 silver and solid copper. The copper surface is left uncoated and will naturally develop a patina. To restore brightness, gently polish with a soft cloth or use fresh lime. Antique copper pieces require no care, while patinated copper is sealed and should not be cleaned.
