Bark Earrings – Argentium Silver Vertical – Antique
These Bark earrings reflect the LIFE design group. I lay out and fuse Argentium silver pieces to recreate the texture of natural tree bark. Then I shape the form vertically to emphasize length and direction. Each surface is refined before applying a permanent antique finish. Handmade Argentium silver earwires are nickel-free.
Because the surface is deeply textured, light settles into the grooves and enhances contrast. Meanwhile, the smaller scale keeps the design subtle and wearable. As a result, these earrings feel grounded yet refined. Although compact, the vertical form maintains strong presence.

Materials & Care
Argentium 940 has a bright white tone, strong structure, and slower tarnish than traditional sterling. It is nickel-free and holds fine detail well. The antique finish is permanent and does not need polishing. A soft cloth is enough for care.

I fuse layers of silver to build the bark texture. Then I refine the edges and deepen the surface detail. After shaping the vertical form, I apply the antique finish and assemble the earwires.
