Turquoise Earrings – Argentium Silver Hammered Sun
These Turquoise Earrings – Argentium Silver Hammered Sun feature a hollow sun form with a suspended turquoise teardrop. I cut and shape Argentium silver wire into an open sun shape. Then I fuse the joins, flatten the form, and apply a hand-hammered texture.
Because the circle is hollow, it represents the sun. Meanwhile, the hammered surface adds light reflection and subtle movement. Once polished, I suspend a turquoise teardrop beneath the open frame to introduce colour and contrast. Handmade, nickel-free Argentium silver earwires complete the design.
The open sun keeps the earrings lightweight. However, the turquoise adds grounding and depth. As a result, the form feels balanced between air and structure.

These earrings belong to the SKY collection. They reflect celestial spirals and open space. The hollow sun radiates outward, while the turquoise anchors the centre.

I form and fuse the hollow sun first. Then I hammer the surface and attach the turquoise before final polishing.
