Granules & Bark Ring – Argentium Silver
🏔️ LAND DESIGN
This ring brings together rugged bark texture and softly rounded granules. I fuse each granule by hand onto a textured band. As a result, the surface feels grounded and intentional. Nothing is cast. Instead, every ring shows clear handwork and natural variation.
Design & Feel
The bark texture adds depth and movement. At the same time, the granules create contrast and rhythm. Because I melt and place every granule individually, each ring develops its own balance. Therefore, no two pieces ever look the same. The design feels solid, organic, and quietly bold.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because I work with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the ring to activate the germanium oxide layer. This step increases hardness and slows tarnish. After heat work, I refine the surface and give the ring a final polish for clarity and shine.
Fit & Sizing
This ring feels comfortable for everyday wear. The band sits securely on the finger without feeling bulky. However, because I make each ring individually, width and weight vary slightly by size.
For help choosing the correct size, visit our Ring Sizing Guide.
Size & Weight
• Ring sizes range from 6.5 to 13
• Band width ranges from 0.63 cm (0.25 in) to 0.93 cm (0.37 in)
• Weight ranges from 4.3 g to 8.8 g
Materials & Care
I make this ring with solid Argentium 940 silver. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it resists tarnish and contains no nickel, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin.

Learn More (Making Process)
I begin by texturing the band to create the bark surface. Next, I melt small pieces of silver into granules of varied sizes. Then I place and fuse each granule directly onto the band. Finally, I heat-treat, refine, and polish the ring.
