DESIGN & FEEL

⛰️ This Blue Tourmaline Argentium Silver Double Band Ring is part of my Land Collection, created to express the grounded strength of stone. I shape two smooth silver bands that rise into a sculpted wax-seal top holding a vivid blue tourmaline. The ring feels balanced, with a steady weight and an easy fit.

ABOUT THE STONE

Blue tourmaline, also called indicolite, carries tones of ocean blue and cool teal. It symbolises clarity and calm communication. When light moves across the surface, the colour shifts gently from water blue to a banded sea green. Every gem I choose is natural and slightly different, so each ring holds its own personality.

ABOUT THE WAX SEAL DESIGN

I begin each wax-seal top with solid Argentium silver. Heating the metal until it softens, I guide it with a jeweller’s pick to create an organic surface. Because I fuse the silver instead of soldering it, the joint becomes seamless and strong. The finished texture feels like the historical “Wax Seal” found on letters — smooth in some places, rugged in others — echoing forms found in nature.

MATERIALS & CARE

I use Argentium 940 silver, a bright, tarnish-resistant alloy containing germanium. It stays whiter and shinier than traditional sterling. Because it’s nickel-free and hypoallergenic, it suits everyday wear.

MAKING PROCESS

First, I fuse two Argentium bands to form the double shank. Then I melt and sculpt the wax-seal top while the silver remains hot. I bezel-set the tourmaline by hand, refine the edges, and polish the whole piece until metal and gem reflect light together. Every step is done in my studio, ensuring lasting strength and individuality.
