This Pink Tourmaline Wax Seal ring blends structure and surface. I shape the silver top by hand into a natural wax-seal form. Then I set a rectangular rose-cut Pink Tourmaline in a smooth bezel. Its soft blush tone glows against the bright silver.
Design & Feel — Wax Seal Ring
Each ring begins with solid Argentium 940 silver. I heat the metal until it moves but does not flow. While it is still warm, I guide the surface with a jeweller’s pick to form the wax-seal texture. After cooling, I smooth the bezel area and solder the bezel in place.
Next, I form two square bands and shape them for balance. I add a silver brace to keep the spacing even and prevent spinning. Finally, I solder the wax-seal top to the double band. As a result, the ring feels grounded, architectural, and strong.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and increases tarnish resistance. After heat treatment, I set the Pink Tourmaline and give the ring a final polish for clarity and shine.
About the Pink Tourmaline
This natural Pink Tourmaline is 0.5 carat and rectangular rose cut. The flat back and faceted top reflect soft flashes of rose and peach. Therefore, the stone adds gentle colour while keeping the design refined.
