This Sun and Moon pendant features a 2 carat rose-cut triangular Tourmaline set within a celestial frame. The triangle creates structure, while the surrounding circle softens the form. Small 10K gold accent beads highlight the sun ring and add warmth to the bright silver.

About the Tourmaline
This 2 carat Tourmaline is rose-cut in a triangular shape. The faceted top produces soft flashes of colour as light shifts. Each stone carries natural variation in tone and depth.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this pendant is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment increases hardness and slows tarnish. After heat treatment, I refine the setting and polish the silver for clarity and shine.

I form the circular sun ring first. Then I prepare the bezel for the triangular stone. After soldering the gold accent beads in place, I heat-treat the silver for strength. Finally, I set the Tourmaline and polish the pendant to a bright finish.
