Turquoise Pendant – Argentium Silver Cabochon
I create this pendant in solid Argentium Silver 940. First, I form a clean bezel to frame the natural turquoise cabochon. Then I shape the silver to support the freeform cut. I use a back bail to maintain clear lines and reduce forward drop.
The natural matrix within the turquoise adds organic pattern. As a result, the stone becomes the focal point within the structured silver frame. Moreover, the hidden bail keeps the form compact and balanced. The design remains bold within the STRUCTURE collection.
Design & Feel
This piece reflects strength and clarity. The freeform turquoise introduces natural variation. In contrast, the defined bezel and back bail create order. Together, they form a balanced architectural presence.

Materials & Care
This piece is made in Argentium Silver 940. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it is nickel-free and slower to tarnish.

I shape and solder the bezel to fit the freeform cabochon precisely. Then I construct the back bail to support the stone securely. After setting the turquoise, I refine the edges and surface. Finally, I heat-treat the piece to increase strength and improve tarnish resistance.
