Description
This Byzantine Necklace with Buttonhole draws its shape from our long-time favourite — the Buttonhole Ring. The same smooth teardrop forms now appear as linked elements in this elegant necklace. Between each buttonhole section, I’ve added short lengths of Byzantine chainmaille for flexibility and detail.
Design & Feel
The repeating teardrop shapes give the necklace flow and symmetry. The Byzantine links add strength while keeping the design open and airy. Because the entire piece is made from Argentium silver, it shines brightly and resists tarnish. It’s a necklace that feels refined yet simple enough to wear every day.
Argentium Heat & Finish
After I assemble each link, I heat-treat the necklace to activate the germanium oxide layer that hardens Argentium 940 and prevents tarnish. Then I polish it carefully to a bright, white finish that stays clear with minimal care.
