Amethyst Earrings – Argentium Silver V Bail
These V Bail earrings are formed from solid Argentium silver. I hand hammer the V-shaped bail to create texture and structure. Then I form the earwires from the same solid silver for strength and balance. A natural faceted teardrop Amethyst hangs below, adding deep purple contrast and movement. All elements are shaped and soldered by hand. The earwires are nickel-free.
Light reflects from the hammered V form, while the faceted gemstone catches and shifts colour. The clean angular bail creates definition. However, the teardrop softens the overall geometry. As a result, the design feels bold yet refined.

Design & Feel
The V shape reflects the STRUCTURE design group. Clean lines create strength and clarity, while the Amethyst introduces colour and fluidity. Together, they create a balanced and confident form.

Materials & Care
Argentium 935 silver is a high-quality silver alloy that includes a small amount of germanium. Because of this addition, it is whiter, harder, and slower to tarnish than traditional sterling. It is always nickel-free. A soft cloth maintains the finish.
Learn More (Making Process)
I cut and hammer the V bail from solid silver sheet. Then I solder the structure and refine the edges. After setting the Amethyst, I polish the earrings and form the earwires.
