The Amethyst Ring Size 4.75 Waves Argentium Silver pairs a large natural amethyst with my flowing Waves band for a bright, comfortable statement ring.
Design & feel
I form the Waves band in Argentium 940 silver and imprint the sheet with sand for a subtle beach texture. With a soft torch, I gently roll the edges to create that organic, wave-like rim before shaping the flat strip into a ring. A hand-built bezel is aligned and soldered to the band, then I clean and refine all joins for a smooth, modern finish.
About the stone
This natural Amethyst (6.5 carat) shows a rich violet hue that plays beautifully against bright Argentium silver. The bezel setting frames the gem cleanly and gives everyday durability.

Materials & care

Learn more (making process)
I texture the silver with sand, cut and shape the bands, and use a very gentle torch to roll the edges for that soft wave profile. After forming and soldering the bezel to the band, I polish, heat-harden the Argentium, then fit the gem by grinding the bezel to height, cutting a seat if needed, and carefully pushing the silver over the stone. A bezel is the strongest everyday setting and helps protect the gemstone edge.
