Solid Opal Waves Ring in Argentium Silver
💧 WATER DESIGN
This Waves ring flows gently across the band. I shape the silver in soft curves that rise and fall around the stone. At the centre sits a 1.5 carat solid Opal, oval cabochon cut. Its natural colour play moves within the smooth silver lines.
Design & Feel
The Waves design feels fluid and balanced. The front holds the oval Opal securely, while the back tapers for comfort. Because the curves wrap naturally around the stone, the ring feels organic and calm. The smooth bezel protects the Opal while keeping the design clean and refined.
About the Opal
This is a solid, high-quality Opal — not a triplet or doublet. It is a natural stone with no glued layers. The 1.5 carat oval cabochon shows shifting flashes of blue, green, and soft fire. As light moves, the colours shift gently within the stone.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and improves tarnish resistance. After heat treatment, I set the Opal and polish the ring to a bright finish.

Ring size 8. The wider front supports the stone, while the narrower back improves daily comfort.

I form the Waves band first to create natural movement in the silver. Then I prepare and solder the bezel setting. After heat treatment, I set the solid Opal carefully by hand. Finally, I refine and polish the ring while preserving the flowing lines.
