I handcraft the Argentium Silver Bark Bangle XLarge 7.1 cm in my BC studio. First, I flatten and texture 16–20 gauge silver wire. Next, I fuse the layers to build a raised bark pattern. Then I form the circle true, polish it to a bright finish, and work-harden it for strength. Because each step happens by hand, every bangle is one of a kind.
Design & feel
The ridges catch the light; the valleys add depth. As a result, the surface looks lively, but the profile stays smooth on the wrist. Also, the bangle stacks easily with other pieces, so you can build texture without bulk.
