Bark Ring – Size 10.25 – Argentium Silver – Antique Finish
🌿 LIFE DESIGN
This ring forms through layered silver and heat. I build the band by laying Argentium silver over itself and fusing each layer in place. As I continue adding silver, a horizontal bark pattern develops across the surface. The process stays physical and deliberate, guided by texture and structure.
Design & Feel
The horizontal bark texture gives the ring a wide, grounded presence. The front feels bold and sculptural, while the back narrows for balance and comfort. Because I build each layer by hand, the surface stays organic and full of natural variation. The antique finish deepens the texture and highlights the layered form. The result feels calm, strong, and timeless.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This step increases hardness and slows tarnish. Afterward, I refine the form and apply the antique finish.
Antique Finish
Argentium 940 has a bright white tone, strong structure, and slower tarnish than traditional sterling. It is nickel-free and holds fine detail well. The antique finish is permanent and does not need polishing. A soft cloth is enough for care.
Fit & Sizing
The wide front creates strong visual weight, while the narrower back improves wearability. The interior is smoothly finished, so the ring sits comfortably on the hand.
