Bark Pendant – Argentium Silver – Large
Description
This Bark Pendant is made from solid Argentium silver. I hammer and bend small pieces of silver, then arrange and fuse them together to create the natural layered texture of bark. Each section melts slightly during fusing, forming ridges and grain-like patterns that catch the light.
Design & Feel
The pendant has a strong, organic form that reflects the natural irregularity of real bark. Its length and texture make it a bold piece to wear on a long chain. Every pendant turns out slightly different, giving each one its own distinct character.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the finished piece to activate the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium 940. This step also slows tarnish and enhances the silver’s white tone. Afterward, I polish the high points and leave the recesses matte for depth and dimension.
