These Freeform Circle Earrings – Argentium Silver – Moon Accent feature a large hollow boulder suspended beneath a full lunar moon. I begin by forming the freeform circle from layered Argentium wire, fusing additional pieces until the irregular boulder shape becomes solid and permanent.
After refining the surface, I shape and polish the solid moon. Then I suspend the hollow circle beneath it to create layered depth. As a result, the earrings feel grounded and substantial. The contrast between the open boulder and the solid moon builds balance and presence.
The generous scale gives these earrings weight and impact. Meanwhile, the suspended construction allows subtle movement within the strong outer structure.
