Chrome Diopside Pendant – Argentium Silver Rapids
Description
This Chrome Diopside Pendant features a brilliant-cut, 2-carat gemstone set in a horizontal Rapids design. I bezel-set the stone into the flowing silver surface, allowing its vivid green colour to stand out against the textured metal. The pattern captures the motion of moving water in solid Argentium silver.
Design & Feel
The pendant has a bold, sculpted shape with smooth edges that mirror natural flow. The bright green Chrome Diopside contrasts beautifully with the cool tone of the silver. The horizontal layout gives the piece balance and makes it comfortable to wear. It moves easily with the chain, adding light and movement to the neckline.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver to form the protective germanium oxide layer unique to Argentium 940. This process strengthens the surface and slows tarnish. Afterward, I polish the raised areas to a clean shine while keeping the textured ripples soft and matte.
