Citrine Earrings – Argentium Silver Wax Seal – 34.5 Carats
This mandarin citrine weighs 34.5 carats and features a wide teardrop checkerboard cut. I form the backing in molten Argentium silver to create a solid boulder surface. Then I shape and solder prongs to secure the stone firmly to the textured plate.
The boulder design creates weight and grounding. Meanwhile, the checkerboard facets reflect strong flashes of golden light. As a result, the earrings feel bold and sculptural. Handmade, nickel-free Argentium silver earwires support the scale and balance the form.
The molten texture contrasts with the crisp geometry of the cut citrine. This tension between rough and refined defines the piece. If you’d like to explore similar forming and texturing techniques, visit my

I melt and shape the silver to form the boulder plate. Then I solder prongs into position and set the citrine securely before polishing the final surface.
