Description
This Freeform Circle Pendant blends Argentium silver, copper, and brass into a single sculptural piece. I shape each metal wire into small, round forms, then layer and fuse them together. As the Argentium silver melts, it flows naturally over the copper and brass, joining them into a permanent connection.
Design & Feel
The circular shapes give this pendant rhythm and movement. Warm copper and golden brass tones contrast with the bright silver, creating a surface that shifts in colour and texture as it catches the light. Because each piece forms differently during fusing, every pendant has its own character.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver after fusing to activate the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium 940. This step helps prevent tarnish while keeping the natural colour of the mixed metals bright. I then polish the surface lightly to enhance the contrast between smooth and textured areas.
