Copper Patina Earrings – Hollow Oval
I cut each oval from solid copper sheet. Then I emboss surface texture to add depth and structure. A centre cut-out creates openness and lightness. After shaping, I gently dome the oval to enhance dimension.
The patina is applied by hand and allowed to develop naturally. Because this is a reactive process, the colour will vary slightly from pair to pair. Once the desired tone is achieved, I seal the surface with lacquer to preserve the finish.
The open centre and curved form create balance between weight and air. Meanwhile, the patina adds layered colour and depth.
