Green Topaz Ring – Size 13 – Argentium Silver D-Book Design – 1.5 Carat
🔨 STRUCTURE DESIGN
I make this D-Book ring from solid Argentium silver. Two strong D-shaped bands fold around the gemstone, like the spine of a book. Between the bands, I bezel-set a trillion-cut green topaz. As a result, the ring has clear structure and visual weight.
This is a large, substantial ring. However, the clean form keeps it balanced on the hand.
Design & Feel
The D-Book design feels bold and intentional. At the same time, the rounded interior edge improves comfort. Because the ring is wider at the front and narrower at the back, it supports the stone while staying stable. Therefore, it works well as a first-finger ring for both women and men.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I then heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and slows tarnish. After the heat work, I set the gemstone and give a final polish for clarity and shine.
About the Stone
Green topaz has a fresh, clear colour. In addition, the trillion cut adds sharp lines that suit the structured silver. I chose this stone for its clarity, cut, and bright tone.
Fit & Sizing
This ring is a size 13. The wide front adds strength, while the rounded back improves comfort. However, wide rings can feel different than narrow bands.

Materials & Care
This ring is made from solid Argentium 940 silver. Argentium silver has a bright white tone and increased hardness. In addition, it tarnishes more slowly than traditional sterling and is nickel-free.

I form the D-shaped bands first. Next, I refine the book-style structure by hand. Then, I build the bezel and fit the topaz. Finally, I heat-treat the silver, set the stone, and polish the ring.
