Half Sun and Moon Pendant – Argentium Silver
Description
This Half Sun and Moon Pendant is handmade in solid Argentium silver. I melt the silver and shape it while molten to form a Lunar moon texture. Then I solder it inside a softly textured sun, creating balance between light and shadow. The contrast gives the piece a calm, celestial feel.
Design & Feel
The design is clean and reflective, catching light on every curve. It’s a lightweight pendant that works well for everyday wear or layered with other silver pieces. The moon texture adds depth, while the sun frame gives a sense of movement.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the pendant to form the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium silver and protects against tarnish. Afterward, I polish the highlights to bring out the lunar and solar contrast.
