Half Sun and Moon Pendant – Argentium Silver
Description
This Half Sun and Moon Pendant captures contrast and balance in solid Argentium silver. I melt and shape the silver while molten to create a lunar texture, then form the half-moon and solder it into the half-sun. A long bar detail adds structure and movement to the design.
Design & Feel
The mix of textures reflects light in different ways, giving depth to the surface. The shape feels both calm and radiant — a modern interpretation of celestial balance. It’s lightweight, easy to wear, and pairs well with both casual and formal styles.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I heat-treat the silver to form the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium silver and protects against tarnish. The surface is polished for clarity, with the natural lunar texture left visible for contrast.
