Hammered Ingot Ring – Size 8.75 – Argentium Silver
🔨 STRUCTURE DESIGN
This ring starts as molten Argentium silver. I melt a large mass of silver until it flows freely. Then I guide it gently into a solid ingot. The process is direct, physical, and rooted in traditional silversmithing.
Design & Feel
The ingot keeps its honesty. I hammer it by hand to build thickness and strength. As I work, I leave the edges slightly rough and encourage a deep hammered surface. The result feels bold and grounded. Although the ring looks rugged, the form stays clean and intentional. It suits both men and women with equal ease.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I then heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and slows tarnish. After the heat work, I refine the surface and give the ring a final polish for clarity and shine.
Fit & Sizing
This ring feels solid and reassuring on the hand. The interior is smoothly finished, so it remains comfortable for daily wear. The substantial band distributes weight evenly across the finger.

Learn More (Making Process)
I begin by melting solid Argentium silver into a fluid state. Next, I form the metal into an ingot and allow it to cool. Then I hammer the ingot to shape, thickness, and texture. Finally, I heat-treat, refine, and polish the ring to a high gloss.
