Hawk’s Eye Pendant – Argentium Silver – Horseshoe Design
Description
This pendant features natural, untreated Hawk’s Eye set in solid Argentium silver. Hawk’s Eye is the blue form of Tiger’s Eye. Both stones occur naturally. The gemstone is cut as a freeform cabochon to reveal soft, shifting bands of colour.
Design & Feel
The design is clean and minimal. A smooth bezel holds the stone low for comfortable wear. The open horseshoe-shaped bail adds balance. It also allows the pendant to sit well on many chains, from fine silver to heavier links or leather cord.
Argentium Heat & Finish
This pendant is heat-treated to activate the germanium oxide layer in Argentium silver. As a result, the metal becomes harder and more tarnish-resistant. After heat treatment, I polish the surface to a bright, even shine.
About the Stone
Hawk’s Eye shows deep blue tones that shift to grey and silver as light moves across the surface. Light movement brings out its chatoyancy. Each cabochon is cut freeform, so every stone has a unique pattern.
