Description
This pendant features natural, untreated Hawk’s Eye set in solid Argentium silver. Hawk’s Eye is the blue variant of Tiger’s Eye, and both are naturally occurring gemstones. The stone is cut in a freeform cabochon to show its soft, shifting bands of colour.
Design & Feel
The design is sleek and minimal. A smooth bezel setting keeps the gemstone low for comfortable wear. The open horseshoe-shaped bail adds balance and allows the pendant to fit a range of chains — from fine silver to heavy links or leather cord.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this pendant is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat it to activate the germanium oxide layer. This process increases hardness and slows tarnish. Afterward, I polish the surface to a bright, even shine.
About the Stone
This natural Hawk’s Eye gemstone shows deep blue tones that shift to grey and silver as light moves across the surface. Each cabochon is cut freeform to highlight its chatoyant bands. Every stone has its own unique pattern.
