The Kyanite Ring Size 6.5 Argentium Silver Buttonhole blends sculptural form with rich blue colour. A 6.5-carat cabochon Kyanite rests inside the smooth silver loop of the Buttonhole design, creating a ring that feels strong yet elegant.
Design & feel
The Buttonhole design shows how structure can be both bold and refined. I shape the band from solid Argentium 940 silver, then loop it back on itself to form the “buttonhole” opening that cradles the gemstone. This curve gives the design movement and balance. The front is wide to frame the stone, while the back tapers for an easy, comfortable fit.
About the stone
This natural Kyanite, weighing about 6.5 carats, displays a deep ocean-blue tone with fine light streaks across its surface. The oval cabochon cut enhances this silky glow. When light moves across the stone, it reveals soft silver reflections that pair beautifully with the bright Argentium metal.

Learn more (making process)
Each Buttonhole ring is formed, fused, and finished by hand in my studio. After shaping, I heat-treat the Argentium to activate its germanium layer for lasting brightness and slower tarnish. Finally, the Kyanite is bezel-set inside the loop, and the ring is polished to reveal clean, modern lines that highlight both the stone and the structure.
