Lapis Earrings – Argentium Silver V Bail
Natural lapis lazuli teardrops hang beneath a hand-hammered V bail. I form and solder each section in solid Argentium silver. Then I refine the surface to maintain crisp lines and structured definition.
These earrings feature longer handmade, nickel-free Argentium silver earwires. As a result, the profile feels elongated and bold. The deep blue lapis often contains natural pyrite inclusions. This contrast enhances the geometry of the V form and adds visual depth.
Lapis lazuli is found worldwide. The most intense blue with visible pyrite is mined in Afghanistan. Other deposits exist in Russia, Burma, Canada, Chile, Pakistan, and California.
The V directs the eye downward. Meanwhile, the stone provides strong colour presence. If you’d like to explore similar forming and texturing techniques, visit my

Learn More (Making Process)
I hammer and shape the V bail from solid silver. Then I secure the lapis drops and polish the final surface for clarity and contrast.
