Billowing ribbons of Argentium silver blowing in the wind.  This ring has a 1 carat London Blue Topaz tucked into the folds.

The ring size is 10.25.

The front is 1.6 cm wide and the back is 0.6 cm wide.

The weight is 9.3 grams.

For the wind design I created ribbons of Argentium silver waving in the wind, then added accent gemstones. I start with square Argentium silver wire, which I bend into silver waves.  I fuse them together, clean up the ends and bend them into a ring.  With lots of adjustments and polishing the band is now ready for the bezels to be added.

For each gemstone I carefully make a bezel to perfectly fit the stone.  The bezel is soldered in place in the ring.  Now it is time to polish the ring to perfection.  Argentium silver has one extra step – the silver must be ‘baked’ to bring the Germanium to the surface.  This makes the silver tarnish slower, as well as being whiter and harder than traditional Sterling silver.

Argentium Silver is a high quality silver with a silver content of 94% (Sterling is 92.5%). It has the unique feature of having a small amount of Germanium added. Argentium Silver is whiter, harder and slower to tarnish. And it is always nickel-free.
