Lunar Bangle – Argentium Silver – Antique Finish
This Lunar Bangle begins as a heavy sheet of Argentium silver. I cut the metal to the correct width and diameter. Then I add small pieces of Argentium silver across the surface and fuse them in place. As the metal becomes molten, I use my pick to pull the silver into peaks and valleys. Because of this step, the surface forms a natural cratered texture.
After the forming work, I tumble the bracelet to strengthen the metal. This step also smooths the edges. Then I heat the Argentium silver to activate the germanium layer. This treatment increases hardness and slows tarnish. Finally, I add a permanent antique finish. As a result, the darker tone shows the depth and detail of the Lunar texture. The finish never needs polishing.
Design & Feel
The Lunar texture stands out clearly with the antique finish. Raised peaks look brighter, while deeper valleys stay dark. Because of this contrast, the surface appears strong and natural. The bracelet feels bold but still comfortable for daily wear.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this bangle is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and improves tarnish resistance. After the heat work, I add the antique finish and then seal the surface for lasting depth.
About the Metal
Argentium 940 silver is hypoallergenic and nickel-free. It stays bright longer than sterling silver. It is also harder, so it holds up well in an everyday bangle.
