Ethiopian Opal – 1 carat weight – in a cabochon cut. This is a solid opal – it does not have a quartz cap – just pure opal. I have made an ocatagon shaped double-band to seat the opal, using a bezel setting. This ring is 1.3 cm wide in the front and .4 cm wide in the back. Double-band designs are very comfortable because of the open sides allowing the finger to breathe.

Argentium Silver is a high quality silver with germanium added. Argentium silver is whiter, harder, slower to tarnish, purer (nickel-free) and has a higher silver content of 935 (sterling is 925)
