Pearl Earrings – Hollow Square – Argentium Silver
These pearl hollow square earrings follow a STRUCTURE design. A solid, textured silver square frames a large natural freshwater pearl, combining strong geometric lines with the soft round shape of the pearl.
I start with solid Argentium silver and cut out the centre to create the hollow square. Then I hand hammer the surface to add texture and catch the light. Finally, I suspend a large natural freshwater pearl inside the open square, allowing it to move freely as you wear the earrings.
The round pearl creates a beautiful contrast against the straight lines and angles of the square. As the pearl moves independently within the silver frame, it adds softness and movement to the structured design. Because natural pearls vary slightly in shape and surface, every pair is unique.
