Pearl Pendant – Argentium Silver Wax Seal – Antique
Description
Each melted boulder, or “wax seal,” is made by hand from solid Argentium silver. I heat the silver until it softens but does not melt fully. Then I move the metal with a jeweller’s pick to form the look of an old wax seal. Once it cools, I clean and smooth the edges before adding the bezel and bail.
Design & Feel
This pendant has a soft, classic feel. The round white pearl sits in the center, glowing gently against the antique silver. The darkened patina highlights every curve and texture, giving the design quiet depth and balance.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this pendant is made with Argentium silver, I heat-treat it to activate the germanium oxide layer. This strengthens the metal and slows tarnish. The antique finish is permanent and never needs polishing — a soft cloth is enough for care.
