Pearl Sun and Moon Pendant – Argentium Silver
This Sun and Moon pendant is handmade in solid Argentium Silver 940. First, I texture the lunar surface to create depth and contrast. Then I set a silver blue-grey Mabe pearl at the centre. I also add a subtle planet accent to complete the celestial theme. Finally, I refine and polish the surface to a clean, bright finish.
Because the pearl has a soft natural glow, it reflects light differently than faceted stones. Therefore, the surface appears luminous and calm. Meanwhile, the textured moon adds shadow and movement. As a result, the composition feels expansive and balanced.
About the Pearl
This piece features a natural silver blue-grey Mabe pearl measuring 1.3 cm across. Mabe pearls are cultured against the shell rather than forming freely. Because of this, they develop a domed shape with strong surface lustre. The tone in this pearl carries soft grey and blue undertones, which enhance the SKY theme.
