Pebbles Ring – Argentium Silver Finished Edge

This ring has a natural, grounded feel. The Pebbles surface is made from layers of small silver pebbles fused together. The finished edge gives the design a smooth outline and keeps the form balanced and clean.
Design & Feel
I build the Pebbles texture by fusing many small hollow pebbles into a bright, raised surface. After the pattern forms, I add a wire band around the edge to give the ring a clear border. Then I shape the band, smooth the inside, and refine the curve. The polished silver reflects the light, so the texture feels lively and crisp.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because these rings use Argentium silver, I heat-treat each one to activate the germanium oxide layer. This step increases hardness and slows tarnish. After heat-hardening, I polish the surface to bring out the detail and shine.
Inspiration
These Pebbles rings come from our local shores on Kootenay Lake — long stretches of smooth stones instead of sand. The patterns shift like water over pale grey rock. On rare days, Monarch butterflies drift past the beach, creating moments that stay with you. The rings carry a small part of that landscape.

Materials & Care
Argentium 940 has a bright tone, strong structure, and slower tarnish than sterling. It is nickel-free and holds fine detail well. A soft cloth is enough for care.

I fuse the pebbles one layer at a time, letting each piece settle into the pattern. After the texture forms, I add the edge band, shape the ring, and smooth the interior. Heat-hardening strengthens the silver, and the final polish brings out the detail and shine.
