Quartz Pendant – Argentium Silver Cage – 53.5 Carats
Description
This pendant features a 53.5 carat trillion cut quartz. The gemstone is natural and completely untreated. I place it in a bezel mount within a structured cage setting. First, I texture two panels of Argentium Silver 940 using a Magnolia leaf from our yard. Then I build a cage with silver bars to hold the depth of the stone. As a result, the quartz sits securely while light enters from multiple angles.
The chain passes through the cage rather than a bail. Therefore, the pendant hangs shorter and remains more stable.
A 20″ Sterling Silver 1.5 mm Omega chain is included.
Design & Feel
The trillion cut creates strong geometry. Meanwhile, the Magnolia leaf texture softens the structure. This contrast balances precision and nature. Because the stone is untreated, its clarity and brilliance remain pure. Consequently, the pendant feels architectural yet organic.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I use Argentium Silver 940 for clarity and strength. Then I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This process increases hardness and improves tarnish resistance. After heat treatment, I refine and polish the surface to achieve a clean, bright finish.

Materials & Care
This pendant is made in Argentium Silver 940. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it is nickel-free and slower to tarnish.
