Quartz Pendant – Argentium Silver Cage – 109 Carats
Description
This pendant features a 109 carat quartz. The quartz was mined in Africa and is rated IF (internally flawless). It is cut in a teardrop shape with a checkerboard finish. Therefore, the stone reflects light from multiple angles and shows exceptional clarity.
The gemstone sits within a structured Argentium Silver 940 cage. The cage surrounds the quartz while allowing light to pass through. As a result, the form feels strong yet open.
An 18″ Sterling Silver Omega chain is included.
Design & Feel
The teardrop quartz creates a bold focal point. Meanwhile, the silver cage introduces clean lines and structure. This contrast balances precision and brilliance. Because the quartz is internally flawless, light moves clearly through the stone. Consequently, the pendant feels architectural and refined.
Argentium Heat & Finish
I use Argentium Silver 940 for clarity and strength. Then I heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This process increases hardness and improves tarnish resistance. After heat treatment, I refine and polish the surface to achieve a clean, bright finish.
