The Buttonhole design highlights structure and simplicity. I shape the band from Argentium 940 silver and loop it back to hold the gemstone in a curved opening. This form lets light move around the setting and gives the ring balance. The wide front supports the stone, while the narrow back keeps it light and easy to wear. Because of this shape, it fits smoothly and feels natural on the hand.
About the stone
This 4.5-carat Raspberry Topaz is cut in a round brilliant style. Its vivid pink-red tone glows against the cool silver band. When light passes across the gem, the facets sparkle with flashes of rose and cherry hues. The contrast between the gemstone and the silver makes the design striking yet refined.

Learn more (making process)
Each Buttonhole ring begins as a flat strip of Argentium silver. I shape and fuse the band by hand, creating the loop that holds the gemstone. Then I heat-treat the metal to activate its germanium layer for lasting brightness and tarnish resistance. Finally, I set the Raspberry Topaz securely in its bezel and polish the surface to a mirror finish. Because every ring is handmade, each one is unique.
