Rune Pendant – Kenaz – Argentium Silver Wax Seal – Antique
This pendant features the Kenaz rune, linked to the origin of the letters “C” and “K.” Kenaz means “torch” or “fire.” Therefore, the symbol represents knowledge, learning, and illumination.
Kenaz is also known as Kaunan. It translates to “torch” and symbolizes enlightenment. Just as a flame lights a dark room, this rune reflects the process of discovery. It does not represent knowledge alone, but the act of seeking and understanding. As a result, Kenaz carries energy connected to growth and clarity.
All of my rune pendants are based on the Elder Futhark writing system. Germanic peoples used this alphabet from the 2nd to the 10th centuries. It later influenced our modern alphabet.

I form the wax seal base by melting Argentium Silver 940 and shaping it while hot. Then I create the Kenaz symbol from square wire and solder it to the surface. After gently doming the piece, I deepen the antique contrast and polish the raised areas to highlight the rune.
This pendant comes with an 18″ Sterling Silver bead chain with an antique finish.
Design & Feel
The wax seal form gives the pendant a historic presence. Meanwhile, the raised rune adds structure and meaning. This contrast balances texture and symbolism. Because the polished lines rise above the darkened background, the symbol stands out clearly.
Materials & Care
This pendant is made in Argentium Silver 940. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it is nickel-free and slower to tarnish.
The antique finish is permanent and never needs polishing.
