Rune Pendant – Ansuz – Argentium Silver Wax Seal – Antique
This pendant features the Ansuz rune, linked to the origin of the letter “A.” Ansuz means “god” or “Odin.” Therefore, the symbol represents wisdom and communication. It also reflects strength and grounding.
I base all of my rune pieces on the Elder Futhark. Germanic peoples used this writing system from the 2nd to the 10th centuries. It later influenced our modern alphabet.

I create the wax seal by melting Argentium Silver 940 and shaping it while it is hot. Then I form the Ansuz rune from square wire and solder it to the base. After that, I dome the piece gently. Finally, I deepen the antique contrast and polish the raised areas to highlight the symbol.
This pendant comes with an 18″ Sterling Silver bead chain with an antique finish.
Materials & Care
This pendant is made in Argentium Silver 940. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it is nickel-free and slower to tarnish.
The antique finish is permanent and never needs polishing.

I melt and shape the silver to create the wax seal base. Then I fuse and solder the Ansuz rune into place. After doming the piece, I polish the raised areas to enhance contrast and detail.
