Ametrine Earrings – Argentium Silver – Sail Over the Sun
These Sail Over the Sun earrings combine movement and light. I form a hollow sun from solid Argentium silver and apply a hand hammered texture to brighten the surface. Above it, a large silver sail curves upward and carries a lace texture for fine detail. Sparkling Ametrine gemstones anchor the design and add vibrant contrast. All elements are shaped and soldered by hand. Handmade Argentium silver earwires are nickel-free.
The Ametrine gemstones display both purple and golden tones. Because Amethyst and Citrine form together in one crystal, the colour shifts as the earrings move. Meanwhile, the layered sail and sun create depth and shadow. Although dramatic in length, the open forms keep the design balanced and expressive.

Materials & Care
Made with Argentium 940 silver. It is brighter than traditional sterling, nickel-free, and tarnish-resistant. A soft cloth maintains the finish.

I cut and hammer the hollow sun from solid silver sheet. Then I shape and texture the sail using lace to imprint the pattern. After soldering the components together, I set the Ametrine gemstones and polish the earrings before attaching the earwires.
