Lapis Earrings – Argentium Silver Sail Over Sun
These Lapis Earrings – Argentium Silver Sail Over Sun feature a hand-textured hollow sun suspended beneath a large silver sail. I form the open circle sun first, then apply texture to enhance reflected light. Above it, I shape and detail the sail to create lift and direction.
Because the circle is hollow, it represents the sun. Meanwhile, the large sail introduces structure and vertical flow. Beneath the layered silver forms, I suspend a long, richly coloured lapis teardrop. As a result, the deep blue stone anchors the composition while the silver remains open and radiant. Handmade, nickel-free Argentium silver earwires complete the design.
The scale is elongated and architectural. However, the open circle keeps the design balanced rather than heavy.

Design & Feel
These earrings belong to the SKY collection. They reflect celestial motion and upward energy. The hollow sun creates openness, while the sail directs the form. The lapis adds depth and contrast.

Learn More (Making Process)
I form and texture the hollow sun first. Then I shape the sail and assemble the layered components before suspending the lapis and polishing the final surface.
